I do have an excuse though. We have a new edition to the family. As soon as we bought Chibi home 2 months ago, we already wanted another Ragdoll, well I defintely did, Chris wasn't quite so enthusiastic lol.
We knew what colour we wanted and 2 litters had been born. All we had to do was wait until they were a bit bigger and pick one.
One Saturday I got a call from Tanya saying Chibi's brother had become available and were were interested in giving him a home instead. We had a big think about it and at the time we picked Chibi, I really would have loved to take a brother home for him too.
Not long after that Tanya and her Husband kindly bought Jasper to our house and let him our of the carrier. Out he shot and went for a wonder around to explore. Chibi didnt seem too pleased about having another cat in the house and at first, they completely ignored each other. After about an hour, they started to fight. I'm not sure who started it but it did worry me a bit.
2 days later, this is the sight we found:
We decided that neither of us were that fond of the name Jasper, and after much deliberation (well, mee saying how about...and Chris saying no) we've decided to call him Bobby Bear, Bear for short. Not long after this picture was taken, he really did start to look like a Bear!!
Bear is a gorgeous Mitted Blue Point Ragdoll and is such a sweetheart. He is gradually starting to trust us more each day, but he's not overly chuffed with being picked up. He's more of a sit near you and stroke my head sort of cat. Saying that, he does have the odd moment where he yells at me to give him a cuddle and purrs like a monster!
We've had Bear well over a month now and I dont think that either of them could ever be parted. I have no idea if they remember they are brothers, but when you see them together, you can't help but think that they might. They both have to know where each other are and have conversations at completely inappropriate times of the day. For example, 4.30am in the morning...half an hour before I have to get up. Or, when one is in the litter box, the other will go and give them moral support!?!
Here are a few recent pictures so you can see just how much they have grown, Chibi especially, he's a monster!!
